Our brewery and micropub is located in a converted stables building, which dates back to the 18th century. Our intimate and quirky bar is located on the first floor above an Apple repair shop.
Our brewery is capable of brewing around 140 litres of beer each brew. This is very small by most breweries standards but we like that. It gives us the flexibility to brew small batches of different beers and experiment more then larger breweries.

Inside our bar you will notice several original and period features, from the large vaulted and beamed ceiling to the exposed stone wall. Our brewery is located behind the bar area and is on full view. We have a total of 10 craft keg lines and 2 cask, real ale pumps. We serve a selection of our own fresh beers, brewed on site and other guest draught and cask beers.
Our brewery is very small and is classed as a nano-brewery, which is one step down from a micro-brewery. Each brew, we can produce about 140 litres of beer, or 300 pints. As space is limited in our brewery, we are using an unusual brewhouse which comes from Switzerland. We currently have a pair of SS Brewtech fermenters which come from the US. We sometimes serve our fresh beers direct from the fermenters.
One challenge to having a brewery located on the first floor is that of drainage. We had to design and fit a water proof brewing area with built-in drainage.
